…a lungo

for piano
Marc Tritschler

The material of “…a lungo” is made by ascending temporal silence. Like a flame, or a negative. Along with Tritschler specific pianistic phenomena of development and inhibition of the resonance have been studied, including emerging chords, the vibration of the pedal’s attacks and far whistles. These excavated and concave sounds, perhaps a reflection of inner resonances, or an enduring sign of the pain for non-reversibility, have been related to gestural structures and “parameters” of pression.
